Shannon McGinnis, LPC
My life philosophy is guided by the belief that “small changes over time have a big impact”. As a mental health counselor, I truly enjoy walking with people in their journeys to discover and make the changes they want.
My approach to the therapeutic relationship is client-focused, taking time to build rapport and create space for clients to share their stories, when and how they want. I am holistic in my approach, utilizing a variety of techniques and interventions that are geared toward each individual client.
I see teenagers (generally 14 and up) and adults, who are primarily dealing with life transitions, depression, anxiety, trauma, addictive behaviors, binge eating, and bulimia.
I graduated from Xavier University with a Master of Education in Community and Agency Counseling. In the past, I have provided case management services, in-home therapy with children and families, and managed care coordination.
Let me help you discover the fulfillment and joy you desire.
