Monica Baucher, LPCC-S
Hello there! Thank you for allowing me to introduce myself. My name is Monica and I have lived in Hillsboro for the last 30 years. I decided to go into the helping profession after losing my father to ALS. The struggles I experienced during my father’s illness planted a seed for helping others through the darkest part of their lives.
I graduated from Lindsey Wilson College in 2015 with my Master of Education in Counseling & Human Development, with a specialization in mental health counseling. I am certified as a Clinical Trauma Professional and believe in the client-centered approach to treatment. I am here to help you, help yourself; because, you know you better than anyone.
I use a variety of therapeutic treatment modalities and interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and mindfulness, along with other therapeutic tools to help you meet your individualized goal(s). I have experience working with individuals with many behavioral health issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, ADHD, substance use, postpartum depression and/or anxiety, life transitions, and divorce or separation.
While I specialize in working with teens and adults, I also have experience working with young children. I provide individual counseling services for those 7 years of age and older, with appointments available through telehealth or in person in Hillsboro. I currently accept CareSource insurance, as well as self-pay.
